We reclaim our birthright (sorry for the cheesy verbage here): the language of our bodies. As humans, we receive messages from our bodies every single day, telling us when we are hungry, tired, sick, or scared. As women, we receive even more nuanced and detailed messages. Our menstrual cycles tell us SO MUCH about our overall wellbeing, and most definitely about our ability to conceive. 

What if I told you, with scientific and biological certainty, that you cannot conceive on any given day? How about that your body can tell you when you can and cannot conceive? Now what if you could actually learn to speak your body’s language, and make wise decisions for your sexual and reproductive health around the messages you’re interpreting? 

Pretty cool, huh? 

You can still do this with cycle irregularities like PCOS and endometriosis, or unexplained irregular cycles. In fact, with unpredictable cycles, becoming body literate and learning a Fertility Awareness Method may be your best bet to prevent pregnancy and take the initial steps to healing your body.

This isn’t part of a “cycle syncing” trend. You may not feel the same during any given part of your cycle that your BFF during that same part in her cycle. We are not learning a one-size-fits-all method of caring for yourself. Instead, we’re learning to listen to our own bodies and meet our needs on a daily basis based on what we are hearing. Together, we will learn specific signs that we can identify, track, and decode that can clue us in to when our bodies are fertile, when our bodies need support, and then we will learn how to use those signs and clues to make decisions that ACTUALLY WORK for us.

For those who are TTC, Cycle Mapping can help to identify cycle irregularities and conception challenges such as anovulation, thin uterine lining, low progesterone, luteal phase deficiency, unopposed estrogen, hypothalamic amenorrhea, and more. 

Cycle Mapping can also help to identify other disorders early, so you can get a diagnosis and begin treatment sooner than you might’ve without it. Some of those disorders include: thyroid imbalance like hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, weak adrenals, HPA axis dysregulation, and liver stagnation. 

Aside from pathology assessment, Cycle Mapping can help those who are TTC to identify ideal times in their cycle to try for a pregnancy. It can also help to accurately time medical interventions like blood tests, saliva samples, ultrasounds, IUIs, oocyte retrievals, and more.
