Not into hormonal birth control?

No problem.

that instead of trading control for headaches, heavy bleeds, painful cramps, PMS, and acne, you could trade just minutes of your time every day for the same peace of mind?

but what if I told you

We trade control over our cycles and confidence in knowing that we aren't going to become pregnant for these, often debilitating, side effects.

as women, we make these compromises,

For others, though, side effects can include headaches, emotional upswings and downturns, weight gain, painful periods, heavy bleeding, depression, anxiety, increased risk for certain types of cancers, and more.

You may have felt the need for that kind of control over your sex life, but without knowledge of your cycle, you may have turned to pills, implants, injections, coils, patches, or rings. That seemed fine, and works well for some people.

I think women knew, by being in tune with their cycles, exactly when they could, and would, conceive.

But what about the ancestors who came before our grandmothers and great grandmothers? Was there ever a time when women chose, deliberately, when and on what terms, to conceive a child?

In fact, the idea itself is pretty revolutionary: have sex, don't get pregnant, plan your life accordingly. This idea served a great purpose for our grandmothers and great grandmothers, who lived in a time when parenthood wasn't only favorable, it was expected. Over, and over, and over again.

There isn't anything inherently wrong with the idea of hormonal birth control.

I think the answer is yes.

If you’re looking for a research-backed and highly scientific, synthetic hormone-free method of birth control, you’re in the right place! Cycle Mapping is based on YOUR physiology and works with your cycle, regular or not, to help you meet your reproductive health goals.

What’s a reproductive health goal? For some people, it looks like this: “I want to get married and have 5 children with my hubby.” And for others, it looks like this: “I know for sure I don’t want to have any kids.”

Sometimes, reproductive health goals look like this: “I’m so tired of painful periods and my birth control isn’t helping. In fact, I think it’s making things worse. I want to improve my situation.”

You need some data, girl! And it’s right at your fingertips.

I can help you form a lasting relationship with your body, so you can understand yourself and your cycle a whole lot better. Getting to know your body can help you avoid pregnancy, get pregnant, or just improve your overall health! You’ll be much better equipped to chat with your doctor about your symptoms, choose non-medical remedies when appropriate, and most importantly, to make choices that make sense for your body and your situation!

I believe that all choices could be the right choice – it just depends on the individual, her goals, and her values.

So what do you have to do?

If you can commit to taking your temperature every day, recording descriptions of your cervical fluid, and making choices that support YOUR goal based on YOUR data, then you’re ready! I’m going to teach you how to do all of that, and so much more.

Information that you collect by observing your own body and learning its language can give you insight to what is imbalanced. If you can learn to identify imbalance, you can also learn to RESTORE balance. And I can help you do that.

"Learning how to chart and truly understand my body has been life-changing, and I couldn’t have asked for a more patient, kind, and supportive guide. Julie’s passion and heart shine through in everything she teaches. I feel so blessed to have had her walk alongside me in this journey—thank you, Julie!" - Elizabeth F

"I took away a lot about tapping into my intuition and really reflecting on the little symptoms, moments and other things in my life to see how they are impacting me. I feel like I am able to understand parts of myself better and how how to support myself and my symptoms based off the self-care tools I was given." - K.K.

'Before I took Julie's class, I was unsure about using the Fertility Awareness Method as contraception but was really hoping I could use this instead of the mainstream forms of birth control. I was so relieved and excited to learn how much science and fact there exists to back up this more natural, sustainable, and gentle method, as well as what fantastic resources and community there is for women who choose to use it. I feel so much more knowledgeable about my body and the hormones, emotions, and physical aspects I experience everyday. I'm excited about what this means for me and my partner, and so glad I took this opportunity - I've already shared what I've learned with the women in my life and plan to keep doing so!" - Emily B

"Julie is a fantastic instructor and facilitator. She made the content easy to understand and fun to learn. I walked away with far more knowledge than I entered her class with, and a feeling of connectedness to those who were in the class with me. Julie fostered a great sense of community in the class, which is hard to do in a virtual environment!"
- Kylie Z

"This should be knowledge we are all downloaded with at birth, but we aren't. It is so important. Julie really knows her stuff and makes it comfortable to talk about the topics that society has said are taboo." - Emma G

"It felt strange at first to hear you talking about things like cervical fluid, reproductive organs, sex, and things like that so freely and positively, but it was very encouraging after a while and made me more confident to view those things in that way as well." - Class Series Participant 2025

"Julie is an excellent teacher. She is passionate about the material and has such a depth of knowledge about the human body. Prepare to be amazed at the intricacies of your body if you take this class. You will be hard pressed to find a more passionate teacher who genuinely cares about you!" - Emma D
