I take a comprehensive approach to period problems by first conducting a THOROUGH intake with each client. You'll answer questions about your cycle, your health history, your sexual activity, your diet, and more. From there, everyone I work with learns The Cycle Mapping Method. This can take a few cycles to truly understand, but it's worth the investment in time! After charting a few cycles using the method, together we assess the data. Sometimes my recommendations can cover it, but oftentimes, from here is where I refer clients to practices that go deeper, such as naturopaths, functional medicine professionals, OBGYNs, etc.
I recommend taking my 5-Week Body Literacy Class Series, virtually in you aren't in Charlotte, or locally. Payment for the class includes THREE 1:1 sessions to solidify your understanding of the method. Lots of people get it by then, but not everyone does. Sometimes people need more one-on-one support to fully feel confident to avoid pregnancy.
Yes, I do! When appropriate, I refer clients in need to outside practitioners such as naturopaths, functional medicine professionals, chiropractors, Arvigo therapists, mental health therapists, group support, and more. You do not need to go to a someone I refer unless you want to.
My next virtual offering will be in January 2026. I may host another virtual class series in 2026, depending on interest and availability. If you want to take a virtual class in 2026, please let me know by filling out this form to get on my waitlist!
In 2026, my in-person class series' will be held at Moxie Fitness Studio in downtown Pineville, NC. Classes will be held in March on Monday evenings from 7-8:30 PM on March 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Summer series will be held in June and July, from 8-9:30 PM on Tuesdays June 30th, July 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. And the fall series will be held in September and October, on Monday nights from 7-8:30 PM on September 28th, October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. You must register and pay to join the classes.
A doula provides physical, emotional, and informational support to women and families who are expecting a baby. As a labor doula, I support families in this way during the birth of the new baby. I DO NOT provide medical support or advice, or perform clinical tasks on mom or baby.
Most new parents hire a doula as soon as they find out that they are expecting. This way, the doula can provide support throughout the entire pregnancy. Experienced parents sometimes wait until the second trimester, but waiting until the third trimester may be disadvantageous because by then, you may not have a lot of time to bond with your doula. Remember she will be witnessing the birth of your baby, cleaning your fluids, seeing you naked (yes, she does!), so you will want to feel very comfortable with her presence.
A Fertility Awareness Educator is someone who is trained to practice and teach a Fertility Awareness-Based Method of birth control. There are all kinds of different methods to learn and teach! Holding a certification means that the educator completed a thorough training program to acquire their title. I am certified by The Well School of Body Literacy and graduated the two-year training program in 2025. This program is accredited by the Association of Fertility Awareness Professionals.
The best way to find out is to read my doula support page, and to schedule a free discovery call with me. If you're strapped for time, know that I am an advocate for the natural birth process, and this is where I shine when I support clients. If you're planning a c-section, we may not be the best fit (but I can refer you to someone excellent). I support midwife-assisted and unassisted birth. As a former personal chef in Charlotte (Plated By Julie), I specialize in cooking for you. So if you love natural birth and eating, I might be your gal. I am not associated with the Free Birth Society in any way.
If you think labor has begun, call your doula! She will help you determine if it's early or active labor. She will help you know when to call your midwife or go to the hospital. When in doubt - just call her. I mean, you're paying her to be on call.
